Gaslight anthem and Gallows are pretty decent. Plus Eagles of death metal are good for a laugh, epic set in the carling stage a few years back. Plus I've meant to catch the prodigy for years and may actually manage it this time round.
180 quid well spent I think
I'll probably end up spending most of the weekend in the lock up or risking liver damage in the campsite. This'll be our 7th year, kinda got an aim to reach 10 but if the current trend of the lineup being like this continues the 11th year is in pretty serious doubt.
...although saying that this summer between Download, Sonisphere and Bloodstock I'm pretty sorted for decent music
If your all about the destination, take a fucking flight. We're going nowhere slowly but we're seeing all the sights. And we're definatly going to hell...but we'll have all the best stories to tell.
im a glastonite and i always thought the point of reading was to have a shit festival site and an amazing lineup compared to glasto. now they have a shit site and shit arena and the glastonbury lineup is fucking brilliant www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/line-up/ . i guess that mean fiddler or "festival republic" just bank on the festival selling out regardless and so dont give a fuck who gets billed.
I fear the mighty Fatreg forum is dying a death. Sad times after having come here for a decade.
Anyhoo, a few noteworthy changes to this year's Reading copied from the official site:
- Arena Extension. We are extending the Western end of the arena for 2009. This will then create more space for the Radio One tent , make room for an extra block of loos and improve the levels of music on site, without increasing the disturbance off site for residents.
- Crowd Surfing. The policy has been revised and if you come over for fun, you will be put back onto road G4 and made to walk back down to the arena entrance to come back into the arena that way, the long way. (Ouch! - Dave)
- Arena Entrance . The layout will change this year to ease the flow in and out.
