I'm so sorry to be the bringer of sad tidings, but my best friend and festival goer is now attending the the great Rock and Blues Festival in the sky... he will be reunited with his other best mate (and mine) Wigg...
Boy will that be a party!

Very sad news indeed. The Reg man was no age, my thoughts with his son.
Thanks fella for the years of festival fun.
RIP Almost certainly Britain's fattest Festival web-site. Beware of skinny imitations.

Horrible news - RIP Reg, it was a pleasure to share a few pints with you on August Bank Holidays down the years... Him and Wigg will be happy at the big bar in the sky

RIP Reg Will raise a paper cup to you at Reading this year for sure. Should try and get a mention in the Reading Festival programme this year as i know many people used to enjoy reading this website. What happened to him?

hi gooner1990 - pneumonia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pneumonia) he'd had a bad cold for several weeks, including when we went to see NMA @ Rock City in December, just never managed to get rid of it. All turned nasty on him just after the New Year, he was booked to go see his GP (first visit in 18 years apparently...) but died that morning getting out of bed/getting dressed to go to the appointment.

Gutted to read this. I went to my first Reading in 2000, having just turned 16. Reg's ramblings prepped me for what was to become one of the best weekends of my life, and the site was my bible for the subsequent 3 years. Any time someone new told us they were going to come with us to Reading the following year, I always directed them to fatreg.com.
RIP Reg

Sorry to hear of Fat Reg's passing. He was a good man.
