From the official site:
CALLING ALL FESTIVAL FANATICS!
NOW IS YOUR CHANCE TO TELL THE WORLD ABOUT YOUR FESTIVAL EXPERIENCE
Have you always fancied yourself as a bit of a Spielberg or Scorsese? Are you the biggest festival fan out there? Do you want the chance to show the world what your festival weekend is all about?
If so Carling Weekend: Reading and Leeds Festivals need you. We are looking for the biggest festival fans to record their festival experiences at the Carling Weekend: Reading and Leeds Festivals.
You’ll be given a top of the range camcorder (which you’ll get to keep afterwards) to record your festival diary. There’s no script - just take the camera and record everything you think reflects your festival weekend.
The very footage you shoot will be shown on the main stage screens at the festival at both Reading and Leeds sites, to crowds of over 100 thousand. Your footage will also be uploaded on to the official festival websites and may even end up on the BBC as part of their festival coverage over the weekend.
To qualify you must be over 18, you must already have your tickets to Leeds or Reading and you must be truly passionate about the festival.
All people have to do to enter is write a 100 word treatment which explains why you and your mates should win this opportunity and how best you would capture the spirit of the biggest festival of the summer.
Send all entries to carlingweekend@cakemedia.com
The competition closes on the 10th August and winners will be notified by the 14th August 2006.
