....I brought NME to read the Festival review on the train home from London last night.... and regretted it. Crappiest fucking review I've ever seen, only gave proper full articles to their Bum-chum band mates (Klaxons, The enermy etc....) and there was only a couple, anyone else only got a mention in passing, NIN get a tiny paragraph, as part of the top ten 'anthems' of the weekend (they were 6th, with Hurt). Journalistically on a par with the Sun/Star/News of the World, they seem more interested in who they got drunk with/which tour bus they passed out on than anything else, WANKERS
To add to that the festival site poster, which is normally worth having, is 75% arena and large parts of it are out of focus (check out the right had side). What a pile of shit.... rant over

Yup, I agree - the wprst festival coverage they've ever done. Just not interested in the bands, were they (not that I was, either, but they're a music paper, alledgedly). They should have shot the festival site from the Caversham Bridge side of it so you could see the extent of the campsite, too - the Leeds pic is way better for giving some idea of the scale of it all. And to casually ignore a second-on-the-bill band (ie NIN) is criminal! Best band of the festival, too.

thankfully i have and never will buy NME my dad watched our local boys the shitenermy and said they were just that. They are not that good a band there are better in Coventry I can assure you. Sadly the guy who picked them up obviously just fort I can sell these. Sadly these days its all about that and not about how good the bands are anymore
