Well maybe for out of towners.

I was being ironic, though I do recall being on a Drive guest list in 1992. And surely you'll have sky-high ticket prices as they're reunion shows? Perhaps even a tenner?

Possibly even as much as a fiver from what I'm hearing. It's looking like Aug 10th at the Buffalo Bar. It's a school night but the only thing we could get on a weekend was the Brixton Windmill & bizarrely Brixton still seems to scare the outta towners.
Am hoping the Mighty 'Feast will be supporting & possibly 'very special guest' DJs...you'll never guess!
Liverpool is August 19th.
We were hoping to play with the Boat in Leeds but the bill is full...am trying to get Frankie to organise something else as it would be great to play with them again especially as piccies on the Shipyards site suggest Dickie H & Lainey are back in harness.

I'll pencil in Aug 10th, though we may be on holiday. Definitely can't make 19th - in Devon that weekend. Supported by the 'Feast, eh?! At least they know their place in the scheme of things!

Well, after Thursday night's delights, I have mostly been listening to Drive and Sludgefeast.
For those of you who didn't make Drive's first gig in nearly 15 years (at The Buffalo Bar in Highbury & Islington) you missed a treat. The 'Feast were on top form (as ever) and Drive were magnificent. In order that you don't miss out, go and buy "Discography" a compilation of their entire recorded works, which is out now.

The Fall (isn't everyone?). Of their recent works, 'Fall Heads Roll' is highly recommended, as is 'Country On The Click'. But the 6-CD box set of the complete Peel Sessions is a fantastic career overview. Buckcherry - new album '15'. I thought they'd split up, but maybe they've reformed (certainly only two members are left from the first two albums). Whatever, '15' is a stonking good album. Sleazy high-octane bar-room blues rock at its very best.

'One Day It will Please Us to Remember Even This' the newish New York Dolls opus.
Bloody good it is too from some of the world's leading middle aged men in make up.
Was gonna catch them at the Forum but I have to be in Venezuela...I hate it when that happens.
Already contacted a couple of bands out there through the magic of Myspace, south american metal gigs are awesome you should all try it sometime.

'Long Live Rock and Roll', it's been too long since I heard this awesome album so had to go out & get it on cd.
'A magic carpet ride, a genie, maybe more'...god bless Ronnie James Dio & his silly sword & sorcery bollocks.
Venezuela was ace thanks for asking. Saw a band called Hagane who were pretty good in a nu ish but with a bit of proper vocals kinda way. They have a myspace page but its got no music up yet.

'Black Stone Cherry' by Black Stone Cherry. Hard-rocking Southern US band. Highly recommended. www.blackstonecherry.com/ for more info.
