getting a bit picky arent we. Tazzy said she basically says, not she says. And it implies the same thing. Who cares anyway there playing and thats the main thing. I'm not quoting from Tazzy though, I'm quoting from the article. If it was a comma it would specify they were playing Reading and Leeds. It's not a comma, so it specifies they are playing UK festivals, which they are with Download. I've always thought the gap is them, but I wouldn't take it as self-confirmation because it isn't.

Gah....technically you're right....but I bet the article wasn't written to not imply they are.....blah...if you understand that.
I think she meant they are playing....she just worded it all kooky. LOL

Also thought the Download festival was in London, in her Kerrang interview. She's right. Many years of exposure to the average American have taught me there are only two cities in Britain, London and Newcastle. You don't even wanna know how many American kids I have shocked with my comprehension of this electricity concept they have over there.

Talking in cheesy cliches I reckon it all went downhill after the first album, but hey that's just me. She didn't sound like Courtney Love on that one. When I was on holiday in Florida everyone 'loved' my 'scottish accent'. I always thought the north east accent was fairly recognisable but obviously not

I didn't even know the Distillers had made more than one album. Not my cup of tea, anyway, but there you go.
As for Americans, when I was at college an American girl in our hall asked a mate of mine (who had a car) if he could give her a lift to London to do a bit of shopping. From Plymouth...
The Americans used to get food parcels sent over so they didn't have to eat much English food. The best item I saw them recieve was some blueberry muffin mix which contained (I kid you not) "Genuine artificial blueberry bits." Yummy...
None of them had ever seen a three-wheeled car before and they found these endlessly amusing.
There was a guy called Richard Womble who didn't fully understand why his surname amused US. He couldn't believe that you could drink at 18 in the UK (the age limit was 21 in his home state) so he proceeded to become an alcoholic in some sort of world record time, forgetting the need to pay for an air fare back home at the end of his year in the UK. The last I heard he was trying to raise the money by shoe-shining in Plymouth city centre. He's probably still there.
We can add third and fourth places to our transatlantic cousins' geographical knowledge: The Americans all knew of Plymouth (their great-great-great-great-great grandparents set out from there for the new world in the 17th century) and they'd all had heard of Glastonbury, but believed it to be in Glastonburyshire. As you would.

The only similaritys Brody and Courtney have is that Brody sounds like Courtney in a few of the tracks from the latest Distillers album. But Distillers rock and Courtney sucks.
