No idea how funny Rollins will be - probably more of a spoken-word political rant, I suspect. Should be interesting, though, and it's not as if there's much on the other stages...

Henry Rollins has been very funny the 2 times he's been at Download, a lot of his stuff is quite political but he also talks a lot about other stuff like being on tour etc.

But will there be a 'climate change question & answer' this year?
That'll be the clincher for me in my 'can I be arsed' dilemma.

Nah, benas on toast is a totally different bloke. Name's Ray, squats in a hole and sings songs about chastity, mineral water and sheep farmers. Knows 4 chords. Sound nothing like Billy Bragg. Ain't losing all his hair.
That other bloke was definatly at Glasto, no idea where he played (not being there I didn't feel it was too important to know.) One of his latest songs 'this side of the fence' subtly refers to glasto, on his myspazz page at the moment.

hmmm if there's anything decent band wise on that could be cool. Kirk and Me headed down back at easter for Van Aid (Captain Black's van met an unfortunate ends...partly due to BOT...etc...etc...not interesting...shut up) and it was very indie very scene, inspired me to get a drink for the first time in a little while though. Would suggest Lexapalloxa (spelt oh so veyr wrong) but clashes with Bestival (common trend it appears.)

Well, Johnny Clarke is usually worth a look & I might just go see Heavy Metal in Baghdad I've been meaning to see that for a while tho' I doubt Reading is the best place to see any film.
The only time I tried I saw the exorcist in a little tent in the campsite in 82 or 3 & Hells Angels drove round the tent right the way thru it.
Still haven't seen it properly.
