They're doing the wristband exchange on the way into the site this year. Which I think is a shite idea as getting everyone to exchange their tickets for bands whilst they're carrying all their stuff could be interesting. I notice they've moved the entrance to the site this year to over near the river, rather than near the arena.

Unfortunately, looking at the festival T&Cs it sounds like you will have to get your wristband on entrance ( "Please exchange your ticket for a wristband at the Wristband Exchange before entering the site. You are responsible for your ticket until it is exchanged for a wristband." ). As long as they provide plenty of space to queue I don't really mind....removes the fear of losing your ticket before you get to swop it!

Also looks like the purple campsite food & drink stalls have moved right down to by the bridge over to the white campsite

yeah it mentioned on the official site that they had moved the 'village' from purple to brown... bit of a mission if it's right near the bridge.

Yes... it'll be interesting to see just how long it takes to get in with everyone queueing for wristbands while loaded with gear. Might have to have a couple of tinnies on hand to while away the time... Not sure it's a good idea at all. Always used to pitch tent, then go for wristband at a time when hardly anyone else did. Can't stand queueing. Probably going to camp in White this year as am too old and lazy to waddle around with tent etc looking for space in main campsites. Plus, want to camp where there won't be hordes of people banging shit all night on the Sunday. They may not have anything to do until they go back to school, but some of us have got to work!

Yeah, last year was the first time I got really pissed off with the 'kids' banging bins all night. Scarey.
Pendulum are doing a DJ set at the Rivermead on the Thurs night. Could be good.

I generally find (by rule of thumb) the further you get from the arena the quieter... thought Brown does occasionally break this rule...
hence why i'll be in Orange again. ;D

Might aim for Orange this year, good compromise between a bit of peace & quiet and distance to the arena, must remember my pipe & slippers this year.....

Confirmation off the official website that you will have to get a wristband before going into the campsite.....
There are three new wristband exchanges this year, one as you leave white car park to enter the campsite to cross the river, one just before green gate and one in red camp, and they replace the one that used to be by Reaper Bridge.
These are now for first time entry and so you will be wristband on your first arrival to the site, rather than show your tickets. They open when the site does at 8am Thursday, or 6pm Wed if you have an Early Bird ticket.
You must pass through these tents with your tickets in order to gain access to the campsites and arena.
