Saw them at the Pleasure Unit (shit hole, don't bother) last night & truly awesome they were too.
Of late james Feast has been talking about being more professional & if last night is anything to go by they're definately moving in the right direction.
amongst his pledges to professionalism are sticking to the set list & cutting down on drinking pre-show.
Last night he was pissed before I got there & still had a couple of hours to go, once he did finally stagger on stage he decided after 3 or 4 songs to alter the set so Coiren could sing & he could have a lie down! proceded to play the next 2 songs flat on his back.
Catch 'em soon folks, truly at the top of their game...just a shame the band & audience all fitted in a saloon car on the way home!

Got home today to find a pre-release issue of the latest 'Feast opus 'Virtua Rock' waiting for me.
17 songs in 26 minutes with subjects as varied as Video Games and...er that's it really.
But ludicrously distorted & Olympian swearing.
it's out on Must destroy soonish.

Bought the cd/ DVD at the barfly show on Thursday (it's in the shops on the 19th).
When I put the DVD in my machine & played the first live track my computer was so awestruck by the sheer evil power of the 'Feast that the sound packed up & the 'pooter refused to utter another sound for the rest of the day!
Fortunately, after a good night's sleep & a long hard look at itself it has turned to the darkside & I have been listening & viewing many a fine example of prime shit rock all evening.

'Feast are currently enjoying a short drinking tour of Holland but come March 24th they are back in the smoke providing awesome shit rock action for the good people at the Bull & Gate.
the following night they are at some tip called the Catch 22, apparently in the Smoke too but I've never heard of it. (That makes just the 14 gigs for me in March then!).
I believe they will have the new & imaginatively titled cd 'Shitrock Motherfucker' with them...obviously a radical change of direction.

I just wish the lazy fuckers would sort their website out. No news. No forum. Christ, they're worse than me!
So is there really a new album? Obviously, they haven't bothered telling anybody. Still, as career-minded as ever...

Shocking news, James has updated several pages of the 'Feast site!!
Seems 'Shitrock Motherfucker' is only out in Holland at the mo but I expect they'll have it at the London shows next week. Even those are up on the site!!
Seems to be a live/ compilation kinda thing but hell it's the feast some a must have purchase I reckon.

He even sent out an email announcing the site/forum updates. Mind you, it still took a week to do that... Seven Alice Cooper covers in this month's mp3 club, too!

It seems the Feast have a new double cd coming out soon.
James has just announced that he has mastered the first cd...13 songs, total running time 14.45.
Not entirely sure why they need a second disc but with the feast it is generally best not to ask.

Perhaps he's taken a tip from Julian Cope, whose 70-minute mood-music "Rite" album he described as being "the ideal length for a good shag" - only with more reasonable sexual expectations. 14.45 minutes should be enough time to treat the girl to a kebab beforehand and leave enough time for a post-coital cigarette. Frankly a 70-minute shag is just showing off, and no one likes a show-off.
