I am not confident of securing them this year. I had serious problems getting tickets for V this morning and you know that Reading will be more difficult.

I reckon they'll sell out faster than v for sure. I'm worried! And i DONT want to end up working it again. Mind you, if we cant get tickets, pay the £180 deposit to be a green messenger and just don't work!

So this time next week we'll be glued to the ticket websites. I note they're not having a box office of any sort on site this year and that only certain HMVs are selling tickets.
Anyone have any idea who's playing this year, I've heard no rumours at all?

Yep, one week till the fun, remembering why I brought pre-sale last year now. Got a feeling it's all gonne go properly wrong, had too much good luck in the past!
Headliner wise it's look pretty safe for Artic Monkeys one night and Kings of leon another. Perhaps Radiohead the third but less secure.
...god my liver is gonna fucking die...
Heres's hoping for a strong lock up lineup to compensate

So w/e tix are £175 this year by all accounts. Melvin Benn: "Unfortunately the £20 increase is unavoidable. The collapse of the pound versus the dollar has impacted on the festival very significantly. Most of the major artists that play Reading & Leeds Festivals embark on worldwide tours that are paid in dollar amounts and with the pound having collapsed 30% against the dollar this has hit the budget to a very significant degree and it is in this context that the £20 is unavoidable. I do accept that many fans will be concerned that this is a large increase but compared to many of our competitors who offer two-day festivals or a lesser depth in line ups and less stages, Reading & Leeds Festivals still represent incredible value."

Interestingly they've banned all gas canisters and aerosols over 100ml in volume, which is great news, the campsite has sounded like a warzone at times in the past few years with all the gas being thrown on to fires!

Was very close for us - the first order (which is the 'maybe') was through ticketline and looked to fail at the confirmation page - but we're not sure. Our second attempt via ticketmaster definitely went through though, seconds before they seemed to run out.

Fucking christ, miraculously I think I may have finally suceeding in getting 2 weekend tickets. Wanted early entry plus coach but meh after 2 hours and 45 minutes of trying I'm happy enough. Seriously pre-sale next year, I'm not sure my brain will take every doing that again.
...may have accidentaly brought 2 sunday day tickets too but have to wait and see if that actually went through...

Er, yes, the Pound has collapsed against the dollar, but just look at the poor=quality acts on the bill... surely they're 30 per cent CHEAPER than last year? The truth is, if they made tickets £200 it would still sell out. But not with my help any more, I'm afraid. Reckon I will do Download instead. No chance of seeing Arctic Fucking Monkeys there. Hey, I saw Blur back in the day - they weren't that great, and I don't need to see a third-rate Blur tribute act... So w/e tix are £175 this year by all accounts.
