If you didn't know, the full lineup is now on the official site at www.readingfestival.comI can confirm that it is total bullshit! Anyone have any idea what happened to the self-confirmed Billy Talent, and what about The Living End? I was really looking forward to them. I would have really liked to have seen Million Dead and Hell Is For Heroes on the line-up too. Seems this years gonna be a lot of cracking off in the tent for lack of anything better to do.

Seems this years gonna be a lot of cracking off in the tent for lack of anything better to do. Hmmm, nice thought... not quite the image I wanted to start the weekend with. Anyway, be in the field for when Morrissey plays "Irish Blood, English Heart" - the best song of 2004 and the place is going to go mental. In fact, it's so good, he should play it over and over for the full hour. Perhaps. I reckon there's enough bands I want to see (seven or eight) to justify the ticket when you recall there's always going to be some surprisingly good new-ish acts in the smaller tents. Remember the best band of the weekend is always on early and you get great satisfaction from telling yer lazy-arsed mates they've missed the highlight of the whole weekend.

I think it's pretty good now, about 10 bands I wanna see so it's worth it. As for those supposed self confirmed bands that'll teach you to believe internet rumours.

Looking at the lineup all together on one page now it doesn't look too bad at all! Definitely at least ten bands I really want to see and that's good enough for me. The 5678s should be high quality entertainment. They should book more Japanese bands for the festies. Shonen Knife and Melt Banana are top quality.

Don't they keep squeezing bands in here and there right up until the last minute? Even more so as the festival draws nearer. Or is it just me imagining things? The lineup does seem to change on a weekly basis in August.

It does seem to get changed around a bit. There could be a few more bands added onto any stage. Someone will drop out too i'm sure, they always do.
Mean Fiddler probably have a subs bench of bands who get called up as soon as another band drops out.
