You can post from a lecture? I would never learn anything!
I always plan to put a site up of photos but then the beer and mirth takes over and the five photos I do take end up having huge fingers on the sides.

I always used to end up taking most of them on Sunday afternoon in the campsite because I'd been too pissed to remember that I even had a camera with me... Of course, I'm much more sensible now.

Some of the photos on the 2003 review are good band photos. I thought that was impossible! My mate once got into the photo pit and his were still shite.

Er, it's taken me a very long time to take a good band photo (see the bad examples on the link from the survival Guide page). The 2003 reviews were taken with a small digital camear, rather than those disposable film jobs. that might make a difference (you can adjust the exposure etc on digital), but I still think the best I've taken is possibly the pic of the Parkinsons in the 2002 review, though my all-time favourite is a crowd shot available on the Downloads page (the one with someone's arm all transparent and some streaks of bright light) - I printed that one out at 10x8 inches and framed it. It's almost art...

Yeah the photos you have on your download page from last years festival are pretty impressive. Which band was on when you took that photo of the crowd? Ive learnt that you can take som awsome photos using digital camera if you can the shutter speed and stuff. And its even better if your in the photopass area and take photos with out the flash they come out awsome on my camera. I have some photos of the past few festivals but they were taken with disposibles as dont wanna drunkenly lose/break my digital camera. Never thought of putting a festival site up but im willing to submit info to other peoples site/sites.

The crowd scenes were taken when Metallica were on. Same for the shot with the main stage lit up from within. Being able to switch the flash off is the key, I've found. You can get some good pics with disposables, though, especially of bands, if you get clos enough, cover the flash with a finger and wait until there are plenty of stage lights - see The Parkinsons pic from 2002.
I'm looking around for some sort of free-hosted photo album site so I can set it up for those that can't/don't want to make their own sites.

You can post from a lecture? I would never learn anything! yea all the screens facing me and away from the lecturer are on message boards or hotmail etc. and when the lecturer walks around the computers visible to him turn back to what we should be doing exactly on cue haha.

Good plan Reg. We usually have at least a few half decent photies of the weekend between us. If you cant find a host site, recon you could just have another forum page, after the festival, where people put their pics up as posts.. then transfer the best to fatreg.com ;D

Thought it was during Mettalica but wasent to sure. Ive never tried that with a disposible camera before, as I thought if the camera shakes/moves the photo will come out blurry thats why you need a nice digital camera with various shutter speeds and different modes and stuff. check out my Wednesday 13 and Death Become You photos here www.morehastemorespeed.co.uk/dby/wed13dby.html Cant actualy remember taking any of them as I was very drunk but they have come out really well, and that was before I discouvered the greatness of not using the flash. Im going tp have to try your disopsible camera trick. Trigger.
