If anyone finds any places selling weekend tickets (preferable at non-rip-off prices) please let everyone know via this thread.
Cheers
Reg

Wow - did you actually pay that? It's outrageous. Sooner or later things will be so bad that everyone will have to pre-order before any line-up announcements. And then we'll have to accept any old shite on the bill. It'll be like 1988 all over again!

I think £165 is about the cheapest you can find them now... and they won't be getting any cheaper...
With any luck, I will have some for a competition later in the summer. Start saving for bribes!

don't buy tickets from ebay/auction places. Every year that I've been freinds of mine have bought tickets at face value from the box office by the entrance. Last year one freind didn't arrive untill 9.30 pm on the friday and had no problems in getting one so don't panic buy now. If it comes to the worst the touts on the road leading up to the festival sell them for about £120. Expensive but still cheaper than the ebay bastards

Been looking at these ticket agencies and a thought struck me: given that they all have a stock of tickets to flog at upwards of £175, we can only assume that they bought these tickets in bulk.
Now I don't think for one moment that they queued up at Mean Fiddler venues to buy them at face value, which means that they've bought them from the Mean Fiddler under some other arrangement. MF must know that they're being sold at 75% above face value, so, really, MF are complicit in the overpricing of tickets through these agencies (who are nothing other than legally-operating touts).
I know it's a case of supply and demand, but MF would appear to have supplied these "touts" directly and in bulk. And who's to say the deals don't involve a cut of the proceeds for MF?

ive been on the phone with meanfiddler quite a bit over the last few days in an attempt to find a weekend ticket and ive told them about how much tickets are going for on ebay and ive even supplied them with the phone number and web-site address of a company selling tickets for £200 and all the woman said to me was that although they discourage touting it isnt illegal and so theyre powerless to stop it they also said the only way they can stop the touts is if they have the booking number of the particular ticket the tout has ordered. so basically theyre looking the other way and pretending its not there
