Basically just been to this site www.reading-festival.org.uk/news.asp and on the news page it says someone claiming to be an `ex employee of mean fiddler` has given an entire line up schedule... it all seems quite believable with many of the acts being rumoured already but will it be true? Anyway heres what the so called ex employee has said! main stage green day 50 cent placebo lostprophets bloodhound gang the streets drpkick murphys the rasmus thice yellowcard darkness offspring ash the hives velvet revolver jurassic 5 hundred reasons goldie lookin chain white stripes morrissey reel big fish taking back sunday the libertines idlewild franz ferdinand the vines the roots thursday radio 1 stage graham coxon new found glory inme funeral for a friend million dead mars volta mc5 soulwax super furry animals dizzee rascal aud der maur supergrass von bondies 80's matchbox b-line disaster british sea power har mar superstar jetplane landing sonic youth young heart attack ordinary boys block party my chemical romance the rapture the revs ok go carling stage reuben kill keneda the walkmen the agony design surefire malice toy the hells whirlwind heat many more tbc concrete jungle the decendants billy talent avenged sevenfold 36 crazyfists bouncing souls From Autumn to Ashes lakeside rise against mest

The Blood Hound Gang bit is looking very likely to me. Also New Found Glory, and inme sound exciting. The Concrete Jungle stage is sounding shit if thats true *folds my arms* So im hoping its all fake, apart from the 3 bands I just said.

check this link out www.punktastic.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=29809 its a very intresting read. Friday special guests are Velvet Revolver (GnR side project) Saturday special guests are Idlewild Sunday special guests are the Bloodhound Gang and that Beastie Boys, AC/DC and Aerosmith were all approached to headline, but all declined. Also Paul from punktastic thinks The Distillers are one of the speicial guests but The Distllers aint announcing it yet because they have other festival commitments etc. What do we belive. Trigger.

If some of the bands they stated get confirmed in the next week or so then it's worthy of comment, not until though.

By 'eck there's gonna be some drinkin' time this year.
Still Velvet Revolver is great news...Slash & Duff playin' a few G'n'R classics oughta make for a top mid afternoon kinda thing.
& MC5 should be a giggle.

Saw them last year in Bournemouth with Slam Cartel and Elviss, and they were excellent. Seeing them on the main stage last year didn't really compare to that, though they were good. I just bought tix for me and Jake to see them again in 4 weeks. GO SEE THEM!!

Yeah, the NME said they were crap last year.. so that immediately got me interested They were pretty kool considering they got the 'main stage - first slot - first day" set. Glad to see they'll be around again.. along with the Furries

Well, most of it seems plausible, but I can't really see where Sonic Youth fit in on the Radio One stage... I guess second to Graham Coxon would be most likely, but it's a bit of a come-down for a band who've been very high on the main stage before - and headlined the Phoenix Festival... guess we'll wait and see what happens!
Better take an extra slab of lager, though.
