That recent album (The Wildhearts Must Be Destroyed?) was very good indeed - reminded me a lot of Honeycrack.

All The Wildhearts related bands have been pretty cool. Got about 15 albums between the lot of them. Sitting At Home by HoneyCrack, what a tune. 3 Colours Red were probably the best one though. Grand Theft Audio, The Yo-Yos and SilverGinger 5 worthy of honourable mentions too.

Saw the Yo Yos at the Garage & thought they were a very poor man's Groop Dogdrill, which was a little embarrassing as Groop Dogdrill were supporting!
On the subject of GD, I've just received my copy of Let There Be Wife by Future Ex-Wife & bloody good it is too.
Only 200 pressed up a coupla months ago & mines no. 38...damn they're popular.

Groop Dogdrill are wicked. I thought they split up about 5 years ago to be honest, might have to track em down again.

GD have split up but their singer Pete Spiby is now fronting Future Ex Wife who are about to embark on a big ish tour...details on the message board at www.futureex-wife.com (the rest of the website doesn't seem to work!) First cd Miss September is excellent fucked up blues rockin stuff. As is the mail order thing mentioned above. They have a new cd out this week called 'While Your Husband's Away' on Captains of Industry...available from all good stockists & possibly Virgin.
