Well, as is traditional I thought someone should post a link to a long term weather forecast. 50 % chance of rain apparently...it's not an exact science you know! www.metcheck.com/V40/UK/FREE/event_forecast.asp?eventID=29It must be this years shit weather 'cos normally these things predict perfect weather until about a week before & then admit it's gonna piss down.

Has anyone been past the site lately? the environment agency website seems to indicate the whole area alongside the thames is under water (up to the railway embankment), think I'll pack my canoe this year.....

Yeah. The whole festy site must surely be submerged right now. Have family in Woodley (east Reading) and their gaff is flooded.

from what I have noticed from the Reading Gov site the roads seem pretty fine but you get an idea what could occur. Not sure what the shopping centre looks like a few days later. Their is a flood warning path going right through the middle of the farm site btw

Headed up to Reading on the bike to see a mate and dropped by the site this avo. Took the pic below from the carpark by the rivermead centre (old car entrance to the site when you used to be able to park in the fields by the river). No worries then, the whole site area was bone dry.

Thank fuck for that, don't have to pack waders now! Now just have to hope we don't get any more biblical style rain in the next few weeks....

i was really hoping that with all the rain we've had, over what was apparently our summer, that maybe, just maybe it would be nice and actually sunny for reading this year.... wellies all round again oh well wont know for sure til we get there.
