haha Mar you post like mad plan worked your a junior member to now ;D
Yeah I totaly agree with you I remember 2 years back I only just managed to get in the concrete jungle tent to see Spunge. Last Year I got in there to see The Ataris was a struggle tho, and we got there late to see my favourite band Alkaline Trio and couldnt get in wasent happy. But every year more and more people go just for that stage. I love my punk and ska music more than any other music, so Mean Fiddler sort the tent out, make it bigger, move it, do something please you know its going to be a big problem in the next few years as the amount of people going for that stage raises.
Yeah last year sound on main stage was fucked kept going quite then loud during most bands. haha maybe they have gave us loadsa shit bands for 2 reasons. 1. to pay for the Darkness demands. 2. get a new sound system.

Hello first of all. What a shit load of bands that have signed this year. Hello never heard of most of them all the bands I know I have seen at prevous readings/leeds. I think the people who are picking them really thought Hay wait a minute lets put shit stuff on. 50 cent??? Ok so I admite I have seen him before but thats only coz I went to see eminum. Its surpose to be a ROCK concert not a punch of nobodys that wanna make it into the POP chart. Come on wheres the good bands? I dont think darkness should headline not got enough stuff out and Morriessy isnt he some old gut from a 80's band? Lets take our parents they probably enjoy it more. As for the Saturday what a load of my arse after a night on the curry. Really concidering selling my ticket this year. Not inpressed at all. Lets just hope the special guest are actually special and not some shit band that has a song out at the moment. Wheres the older bands? AC/DC not a fan but rather watch them. Or even a band that Dave Groul is in Q.O.T.S.A or someone good. Mean fiddler open your eyes and give us festival lovers what we want. POWER TO THE PEOPLE

so Morrissey is an old gut but you also ask where the older acts are. The festival aint just for you, sure loads of bands playing are lame but I've never seen more than 10 bands at reading in almost 10 visits - this year theres 5 i wanna see so once its finnished the annoncements I'm confident it will rise to my yearly average

to start with its not a concert its a festival big difference. And secondly its not just a rock festival, it has a mixed virity like the disco biscuit tent, and the comedy tent etc. And then on the main stage they allways have mixed acts playing. Like previous years they have had Run DMC, Eminem, etc. And yeah ive complained about the line up many times this year, but things are looking a big better now, still not as good as previous years. but there still a long way to go untill every act is announced im sure things will be fine, if not lets all go to drunkenville ;D Trigger.

Trigger. Hahhahahah Yeah 'Post like fuck!' does seem to work....a bit. LOL I post on a couple of other boards too and I can act like a post whore there...I have over 14,000 posts on LPU in about 18 months. eeek!! and this isn't a 'posting like mad' kinda board, but we'll see.... NOw for the 'serious' bit.... I was seriously pissed that MF stuck all those fugly and highly annoying vans and crap around the tents....I mean wtf? It's like they DIDN'T want anyone to get in there to see those bands. We tried to get in to see Alien Ant Farm and FFAF. There were more ppl outside sitting on the friggin grass listening than there were inside, and the congestion problems it caused!! argh! It's hard enough with 2 x 4 feet high kids in tow anyway, without all that shit. They should have a Family platform in the tents. How cool would that be? For us anyway....cus the kids love Reading as much as we do and they never see fuck all, unless we park our asses in front of the Main Stage ALL weekend. Shame cus Jake, our 11 year old, is a big FFAF fan.

I usually find half the problem is that the real crush is JUST inside the tents, where there's a dense mass of people to fight through. Once past them, it usually thins out quite a bit. Though the Concrete Jungle tent was pretty packed when Turbonegro were on last year. Mind you, even then, the worst bit was just inside again.
14,000 posts in 18 months, Mar?! Do you ever sleep? Or work? Or even find time to feed the kids?
Still FFAF are on the much bigger Radio One Stage this year, so it shouldn't be too bad. But I still won't be going to see them - not after what I heard last year... they want to get out a bit more, lighten up, have a beer and relax! Same goes for Thursday - thought I should check them out seeing as so many people seem to rate them. Thursday: cheer up and write some proper tunes, why dontcha?

I don't like too much Thursday/FFAF/Thrice type stuff. A bit too miserable. They all seem to like Iron Maiden too for some bizarre reason. In the same sort of style though, Cursive are quality. Similar kind of style but more towards the Fugazi with really catchy geetar bits. It would be cool to see them on the Carling stage (or maybe on the Radio 1 stage if the lineup so far is anything to go by)

Hmmm....the whole darn tent looked pretty jam packed to me.....though we did manage to squeeeeeeze into the tent to see Hundred Reasons last year. Couldn't see a flippin' thing of course but it was still WELL worth it....they're sooo good live!! I'm really looking forward to seeing them again...they were so energetic and excellent in 2002 on the Main Stage. Err....nope!! I work 6 hours a day, sleep prolly around 6 or 7 hours, feed the kids, do some cleaning every day, keep the hubby as happy as I can ( ) and pretty much spend as much time as poss on here!! I LOVE it. I really need a job where I can park myself in front of my monitor the whole day. I rather like all the depressing emo shit!! LOL I'm seriously trying to think of ways in which I can get us all into the tent for FFAF. The short ass kids are proving the biggest problem!! LMAO!!

I remember when watching Slipknot in 2002 there were tons of kids on their parents' shoulders. They did seem to be slightly err...impairing their enjoyment by doing it though

I do know that there were not that many around last year.....prolly saw a dozen or so 'kids'......plenty of teenagers but not many under 13 though I'd have said.

Oh, Slipknot at Leeds I should have said. Maybe the average age at Leeds is lower like the average attendance and the average level of sanity

hahaha you do need to get out more thats a hell of a lot of posts in a short time. Crazyness.
haha your kids are nearly as tall as my girlfreind (Tazzy) maybe the same height. I think its cool that parents take there kids to festivals, getting them into decent music and stuff.
I do hope they do rethink the layout a bit as it is needed, damn vans, we are spoilt for vans to go to for food, but they all sell the same shit at the same rip off prices, apart from a few that sell it cheaper.
Werent Alien Ant Farm in the radio 1 tent? we managed to get in there easy if you walk all the way around the tent to the far side, as for some reason not many people was that side, maybe to lazy to walk there I dunno.
theres allways going to be kids around when slipknot play. There parents think Slipknot hoodys are a new sports wear now its featured in Argos Additions and other catalouges.
